Hi, I am Tristan Reynolds. I hope you find my articles interesting and educational.
A quick history about myself. I was born in a small town in upstate New York, just outside of Rochester. I graduated high school in 2006. I went to college at the Rochester Institute of Technology (R.I.T.) for Software Engineering, and yes I was a drop out. In 2008, I left R.I.T. and signed my contract to join the United States Navy. In the interim, I worked driving box trucks and delivering bread. When May of 2009 came around, I left for boot camp, Great Lakes was an interesting place. Afterward I went to Charleston, SC and Saratoga Springs, NY for training as a nuclear machinist mate (MMN), or mechanic for those who don’t understand Navy terms. I was then deployed 3 times over the next four years, at the end of which I got married and started a family. Since my priorities changed, I cycled out of deployments and went recruiting and got my bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering Technologies from Excelsior College. Once my three years as a recruiter was done, and as I was finishing up my bachelor’s degree, I obtained employment at a commercial nuclear power plant as an Non-Licensed Operator. A few years doing that and I became a scheduler and risk manager for power plant. This brings us up to July of 2023, I needed a change of pace. To work less than I was before, and it is really awkward to say, I decided to go to law school. Yeah, not the best choice to reduce my work load but it was actually less work, and I got to spend more time with my family. I am currently a 2L in law school and am enjoying the experience. I took a class in Intellectual Property and it fascinated me, so here I am, doing some research, drafting articles, and passing what I learned on to you. Like I started out saying, I hope you find the articles interesting and educational. They are there for you to learn and NOT to give you advice. So there you have it. Enjoy.
